The Stroud Rodeo and Campdraft will be held on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17.
It is considered one of the top 10 events on the Australian circuit and is affiliated with the Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft and Rodeo Association.
Stroud Rodeo and Campdraft spokesperson Annette Baldwin said competitors would travel from around Australia to Stroud to earn points towards their national ranking.
Around 1000 riders and thousands of visitors are expected to converge on Stroud.
The 2016 event will mark the town’s 42nd rodeo and campdraft, plus its return from the devastation of the April 2015 superstorm.
There will be a big screen to show replays of the action and live music on Saturday night from Australian rock band Hurricane Falls.
The venue provides all-weather seating, on-site stalls, a bar, and camping is available.
