Ann Dillon’s A Country Affair and Helena Morris’ Clarence Town Licensed Post Office competed against a range of Hunter businesses in the regional awards.
Both were unsuccessful but were proud of their achievements in their 30th year in business.
Dungog District Chamber of Commerce president Jenny Lewis said the businesses had progressed to the Hunter region awards after they won at Dungog’s awards ceremony in May.
Ms Dillon was a finalist in the excellence in small business under 20 employees category and Ms Morris was a finalist in the customer service under 20 employees category.
