Kacia Rowles received an award during an Education Week ceremony for her academic excellence and outstanding leadership skills.
The year 6 student was nominated for the kindness and consideration she showed to other students as well as her dedication to her studies.
The school has consistently described her as a model student and praised her for her involvement in a wide range of activities.
She performed in the Vacy Public School dance ensemble at the Education Week celebrations at Dungog High School and takes a range of dance classes outside of school.
When she grows up she wants to be a primary school teacher.
