Dungog-Clarence Town CWA’s branch treasurer Wendy Hogan said Quiltarama, now in its 10th year, is one of the major events on their calendar.
A huge array of quilts will be on display again from members of the CWA and from other master quilt-crafters from across the region.
“There will be a variety of styles, patchwork, obviously, some are handmade and hand-quilted, some are machine made and hand quilted,” Ms Hogan said.
“Approximately 18 stall holders (will be participating), some will be selling small hand-craft items, others will be selling quilting requirements.
“It’s always an extremely popular event. It draws big crowds.”
There will also be a cafe serving cakes, slices, coffee and a light lunch.
Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for the most popular quilt, with the winner being announced on the Sunday afternoon.
Quiltarama will be held on September 17 and 18 at the Clarence Town School of Arts Hall and the Clarence Town Senior Citizens Day Care Centre, directly behind the hall.
It is on between 10am and 4pm on Saturday and 4pm and 3pm on Sunday.
Dungog-Clarence Town CWA meets at 9.30am on the first Friday of each month, but not in January. It meets at the CWA Hall, 199 Dowling Street, Dungog (even months) and at the Anglican Church Hall, Clarence Town (odd months). New members are most welcome.
