The event’s president Karen Hutchinson said the 56th competition attracted people from Sydney, Central Coast, Taree, Foster, Newcastle and Canberra.
“It was an amazing vibe this year,” Ms Hutchinson said.
“It was just wonderful. It was a great day all round.”
“We had awful rain in Stroud on Friday, but the on the day the sun just shone over us.”
“The committee members, we have all got our own jobs to do, but I am not sure who organised the weather, but whoever did, we are very grateful.”
Competition this year was stiff, with 56 men throwing bricks, and 40 boys throwing in the junior section. In the rolling pin category, 75 women competed, with 40 girls in the junior section.
However, no records were broken or matched.
Next year’s competition will be held on the second Saturday of the mid-year school holidays.
