The Cuppa and Chat group, which meets at the Anglican Church hall every Friday, decided to donate the proceeds from the annual Christmas party to Dungog Shire Palliative Care Volunteers.
A cheque for $252 was handed over to t he the palliative care group’s president Margaret Jones last week.
Mrs Jones expressed her appreciation and said the donation would assist with fuel costs for transporting of clients utilising the free transport service of one on one supported transport provided by DSPCVol. to anyone in Dungog Shire with a life limiting illness.
The Cuppa and Chat group meets on Friday from 9.30 to 11.30am and is open for anyone in the community to call in for a cuppa and a chat.
