Organiser Colleen Duffy said her fellow organisers Lisa Lambert Smith, Maree Lynch and Natasha Brown thought Movember would provide an opportunity to have fun for a good cause.
“We saw a lot of things like Pink Day but there’s little attention given to men’s health in comparison,” Mrs Duffy said.
“But it’s been a lot of fun all month and Saturday’s celebration was a great way to wrap it up.
“Our fundraising totalled $2400 so we are over the moon with that.”
The event featured dance performances, beard competitions, a barbecue, beer tasting and live music.
Local men Shaun Cox, David Boyd, Warrick Coe, Danny Shaw, Aaron Jones and Brad Steel have all ditched the razor to raise over $1100 for the cause.
Shine hairdressers judged the best mo and beard and donated prizes to the winner.
