Organised by National Rugby League game development officer Kacey Drummond, the game is a low to medium-contact sport and the rules are designed to encourage participants to run at the gaps, not the defender.
“Although we were down on numbers due to a number of school having intensive swimming lessons, Dungog Public School sent all their year 3 to 6 students which boosted the number of teams,” Ms Drummond said.
“It is not meant to be a competitive day, it’s a fun way to finish the footy season.”
Stroud, Stroud Road, Dungog and Mt Kanwary public schools all had students participating.
