It’s the seventh time local riders have come together to raise funds for the school and the Hunter region Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Action will kick off from 8am with 40 entrants competing over two rounds, with the final scheduled for just after lunch.
There’s a mix of competitors, from experienced riders right down to beginners and school students.
Fans of the sport will no doubt witness some great riding, with a strong field of horses including former NCHA Futurity Champion ‘Lil Ray of Hope’ set to dazzle.
There will be plenty of action off the arena too, with live music from Vacy country singer Taylor Hack, a billy boiling competition, games for children and a jumping castle.
Vacy P&C will be delighting tummies with their delicious country fare, including a breakfast barbeque and camp oven lamb and gravy rolls for lunch.
There will also be an auction with the main prize on offer a service to imported stallion Proud Little Pepto, generously donated by Forrest and Kim Saunders.
It’s free entry for spectators and everyone is welcome at 113 Summerhill Road Vacy.
Come along – it’s an event that showcases the talent of local riders, raises funds for two great causes and will entertain the whole family.
