The women travelled from Dungog to the venue on a mini bus.
The women included Lindy Hunt, Nicole Osbourne, Kirsty Eyb, Katie Fisher, Paula Argent, Marriane Morgan, Bernadette Gallagher, Sandra McMullen, Ann-Maree Rooke and Emma Pritchard.
Lindy led the Knights onto the field, holding Kurt Gidley’s hand as she was voted Volunteer of the Year in 2014.
Eighteen women (out of about 100) were drawn out of a hat to form the guard of honour as the teams ran out onto the field.
Dungog had three Warriors drawn out – Nicole Osbourne, Bernadette Gallagher and Kirsty Eyb and they formed the guard as Lindy ran out with Kurt.
In the VIP lounge the ladies received food and drinks all day, plus a lovely hand massage.
They even managed a photo with Ray Warren.
