Dungog paramedics were called to the property at 1pm on Sunday to the 42-year-old Central Coast woman who sustained serious injuries to her left elbow and arm after being thrown from the horse she was riding.
An ambulance spokesman said the accident occurred on an isolated part of the property.
“The woman was bucked off the horse and she fell awkwardly on her left side,” he said.
“Dungog paramedics were required to park the ambulance 100 metres away from where she was located and access the area by foot.
“The job would not have been possible except for the assistance of NSW Fire and Rescue Dungog, Dungog Rural Fire Service and Dungog police who helped to get the injured woman into a stokes litter and she was carried out to the ambulance.
“The track was littered with fallen logs and trip hazards and it was the teamwork between all these emergency services which saved the day.”
The woman was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition and was operated on later in the afternoon.
