A Dungog man was stung on the neck numerous times as he moved a box of bees on Thursday night last week

According to an ambulance spokesman, the Hooke Street man was moving a box of bees onto a trailer when the bees got up under his veil.
“He was stung on the neck numerous times but didn’t want to go to hospital,” he said.
“But we convinced him to go up to Dungog Hospital where he could be monitored.
“With bee stings there is a risk of swelling which can close the airways.”
