I had four young players, Beth, Daniel, Emily and Briannah.
They all listened well and tried their very best.
Next week we are expecting a few more juniors to join us for some fun tennis activities.
This junior competition using the ANZ Hotshots Community Play program is a great way to get the kids putting what they learn at coaching into action.
It is also good for new juniors to get into tennis and then progress into the coaching classes.
There is more works happening around our complex in the coming weeks as part of our continual improvement project.
To clean up the areas around the club house and make them more useful for everyone enjoying our facilities, we are going to stamp concrete the front area and put some seating there as well.
At the back of the club house we will lay some thick artificial grass and create a nice safe play area for the children.
The facilities are becoming more and more suitable for families and the greater community to enjoy.
I want to encourage more social tennis, especially through the weekdays when it is opportune for maybe mums with bubs to get together for a bit of social fun and exercise in a safe environment or maybe the older members of the community who want a bit of a social activity.
We have a full functioning club house with kitchen for tea and coffee making and a disabled toilet access.
