Lana Rees, her sister Lacie and mum Melinda Bowden all have hair down to their hips.
While seven-year-old Lana has had a couple of trims, Lacie, five, has not had her hair cut at all.
“I have been growing my hair for four years and decided it was time to get it cut,” Melinda said.
“I knew all about Pantene beautiful lengths who ask for donated hair so it can be made into wigs for people who have lost their locks through treatment.
“I think it is a wonderful idea as I have an aunt who has had cancer.
“It has now come back and is terminal and I think it would be a waste to have all your hair cut off and thrown away.
“Lana hates having her hair brushed and when I told her I was getting mine cut and donating it, she decided to do it as well.”
In September 2012, Pantene Beautiful Lengths was launched in Australia and New Zealand in partnership with the charity Look Good…Feel Better.
The first program of its kind in the region, Pantene Beautiful Lengths aimed to inspire women to grow, cut and donate their hair to be turned into real-hair wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment
