On Friday December 19, 2014, Dungog police received a complaint of assault from two women who alleged they had been assaulted in Common Road two days prior.
On this evening police arrested a 37-year-old female who was charged with two counts of common assault and will face Dungog Local Court on Wednesday, January 14.
Woman wounded by partner
About 9:30pm on Monday, December 29, paramedics and police from Dungog were called to a house in Jones Street Dungog where a 37-year-old female was seriously wounded by her intoxicated partner using a beer bottle.
The 51-year-old male fled the scene on foot prior to arrival.
He was located by Dungog police in Brown Street Dungog, however became aggressive and was subdued by police using pepper spray.
The male was conveyed to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he was charged with reckless infliction of grievous bodily harm.
The male was refused bail and was due to front Maitland Local Court on Monday.
Domestic violence
Last Wednesday morning Dungog Police attended a house in Lord Street Dungog after a report of domestic violence offences.
Police arrested a 41-year-old female who it was alleged had attempted to set fire to the house with petrol and lighter and threatened her partner with a shovel and lumps of timber.
The female was arrested and conveyed to Raymond Terrace Police Station where she was charged with a range of offences.
She will appear before Dungog Local Court on Wednesday, January 14.
Breaching an order
Last Wednesday, police from Clarence Town attended a property at Clarence Town where a 55-year-old man was arrested for breaching his apprehended violence order.
It is alleged the male has poured a can of alcohol over his wife after a disagreement.
The male has forcibly removed his wife out of the house and threw her property out as well.
He was charged with breaching the court order and common assault.
He was refused bail and was due to appear in Maitland Local Court on Monday.
