In announcing the grant, Member for Paterson Bob Baldwin they will support their projects commemorating the service and sacrifice of Australians during the First World War.
“These grants will complement the wider series of commemorative activities that have been developed throughout our electorate,” he said.
Across the country $125,000 has been made available to each Federal electorate for community and ex-service groups to spend on commemorative programs.
“So far, the Paterson area has now received over a quarter of their allocated amount, this project takes the total up to $33,954.53,” Mr Baldwin said.
“I look forward to revealing more of these local projects as they are approved.”
At the closing of applications, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs was overwhelmed with the number of applications received from all Federal electorates across Australia.
