Lawrence is touring with Kaylens Rain on the Superheroes Album Tour and will play at the Paterson School of Arts on November 8.
Taylor, 15, who has been singing since before she went to school and also plays the guitar, saw a competition on Lawrence’s facebook page for a support person to play at the opening of each of her concerts around Australia.
“I live at Paterson so thought I would put in for the concert there,” she said.
“Gabi Griffith was going to do it with me, but she was going to be overseas when the concert was on, so I just did it myself.
“I had to do a film of me singing a cover song, so I chose Do You Think About Me by Carrie Underwood.
“I had to put it up on u-tube and then email management the link.
“It was only a week or so later I received a congratulations and that I was doing the Paterson gig.”
Taylor is a member of the Dungog High School’s musos group and has sung at the recent Vacy Charity Cutting Day, Tocal’s annual field days and at school.
“I’ve got 10 minutes on stage which will be two or three songs,” she said.
“I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet.”
While music is a bit part of Taylor’s life, the year 9 student has plans to study veterinary science.
