Postponed from the April rodeo due to drought conditions and the lack of cattle, the August event attracted 130 competitors in the maiden, ladies and novice drafts held on Saturday and junior, juvenile, open and open-for-open held on Sunday.
Secretary Carol-Ann Cummings said the rain on the Saturday night settled the dust.
“The weather was great, quite mild, with good spectator numbers.”
The committee is looking for new members and a meeting will be held tonight (September 3) to set the date for the annual general meeting.
Winners of the open draft were Alan Young, Fred Paterson, Simone Harvey, Wayne Murray, Mark Kauter and Scott Pickering.
Novice draft winners were Gerald O’Brien, equal second and third Darren Brislane and Steve Hufnagl, and equal fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh were Alf Copelin, Paul Ralston, Greg Cox and Steve Hufnagl.
Alan Young was the winner of the maiden draft with Brock Field second. Equal third, fourth and fifth were Luke Collard, Brett Pryor and Steve Hufnagl.
Tracey Gray won the ladies draft with Usha Van Ewyk second and Tahlia Kemp third.
Equal fourth and fifth were Kylie Blanch and Tracey Gray.
Open-for-open winners were Warwick Lawrence, Wayne Murray, Simone Harvey, Richard Barnett and Alan Young.
Jorgia Edwards was first in the juvenile draft with Jayden Dorney second.
Equal third and fourth were Madison Hammonds and Jayden Dorney while equal fifth were Rowena Dillon, Rebecca Roberts, Laura Lawrence and Joshua Gray.
Junior draft winners were Toby Ware, Millie Tarrant, Travis Sansom, Millie Tarrant and Scout Northam.
