The program is a nationwide outreach program lead by the University of Newcastle and involved year 9 and 10 science students from Dungog high.
Teacher Mark Curran said the visiting students were broken up into groups and there were eight different activities on the day.
“These included bridge building, catapult, flying, an air-powered car, a Mars rover activity and working in the science laboratories,” he said.
“After the different projects were constructed they were then tested to see how they went.”
The discovery day is a practical day of fun, teamwork and discovery.
