The event was a huge success with 164 entries received over the two days.
Entrants travelled from all over the state and organisers were very happy to see many first time locals line up for the event.
This year saw the introduction of a 5km and 10km ride and tie event which was a lot of fun for both competitors and spectators alike.
Teams of two riders/runners and one horse raced over the course with the winners Michael and Cherry Cummins from Sydney completing the 10km course in a cracking time of 32 minutes.
Cody Bergsma from Anna Bay and Georgia Curry from Camden crossed the line in first place in the 5km event with local teams Sally and Tristan Lewis in third place and Hayley Lewis and Emma Haskins in fourth.
After some heavy rain on Friday evening the sun came out for the Sunday 80km feature event creating warm and humid conditions.
Riders enjoyed a track that provided them with glorious scenery and some of the most spectacular views Dungog has to offer.
For the second year in a row spectators experienced a gallop finish with heavyweight Gary Pevy from Jerrys Plains taking out line honours just edging out lightweight Renee Schneider from Bungwahl.
Karen Anderson from Medowie took out the open division.
First Junior went to 16-year-old Georgia Curry from Camden.
The Williams Valley Endurance Riders Club thank local land owners, Flat Tops Fire Brigade, WICEN communications and the numerous volunteers who generously gave up their time to make the ride a success.
