Dungog Rodeo committee member Tom Boorer said there were quite a few events on around the Hunter too which would have impacted on numbers.
“There was the Gum Ball festival at Lower Belford and Steamfest in Maitland which would have drawn numbers away from the rodeo,” he said.
“And there were intermittent cold showers which could possibly have kept people away.
“But it was a great day, good entries in all events and lots of action.”
