About 08.20am on Sunday, Dungog police, Fire and Rescue and Paramedics from Stroud responded to a two car motor vehicle accident near Coorei Bridge in Dungog.
A 19-year-old woman from Alison had travelled across the bridge and a 31-year-old male from Coffs Harbour attempted to enter the bridge causing a collision.
The woman was trapped within the vehicle for a short period however was rescued by the driver of the other vehicle and another male.
The woman suffered injuries to her wrist and legs and was transported to John Hunter Hospital by Stroud paramedics.
Stroud Hill Road was closed for a short period of time.
Mortar bomb
During late Sunday afternoon, a property owner near Dungog located an old mortar bomb which was found near the Williams River.
Police were contacted and attended and on Monday RAAF explosive officers attended the property and collected the mortar and took it away for disposal.
