Seconds fall from personal best times

Friday night was the last night for competition swims at Dungog pool this year

D-grade swimmers Eve Rumbel and Elijah Inwood improved their personal best times in 15m freestyle while C-grade swimmer Oliver Pritchard was re-graded to B-grade after completing 33m freestyle and Archie Gallagher knocked seconds from his personal best times.

Fellow C-grade swimmers Ari Geale, Georgia Osmond and Jessica Rumbel showed consistent effort.

A-grade also completed 33m freestyle with Ellen Maytom, Daniel Rumbel and Ben Peper improving their times.

B-grade swimmers completed 66m freestyle and many swimmers maintained a consistent effort with Eliza Gallagher completing the event for first time.

Swimmers Ella Kennedy, Broc Hunt, Hayley Forbes, Jack Fisher, Olivia Hannan, Ian Parsons and Pascal Francisci all improved their personal best times in this event.

Next swim for all grades was breaststroke.

C-grade swimmers Archie Gallagher and Aaron Fisher completed 33m breaststroke for first time with fellow swimmers James Overton and Hayley Forbes showing improvement in their times.

A and B-grade swimmers completed 66m breaststroke with improvement from swimmers Monique Kerr, Harriet Townsend, Ella Kennedy, Broc Hunt, Hannah Long, Ben Osmond and Abigail Pritchard.

Matt Kerr also completed the event for first time.

Final individual event for night was backstroke.

C-grade swimmer Pascal Francisci was re-graded to B-grade after completing 33m backstroke with consistent effort from Emily Geale, Tamer Ward and Josh Osmond.

B-grade swimmers competed in 66m backstroke with improved times by Ella Kennedy and consistent effort by Taylor Long, Laura Inwood, Liam Kennedy and Lillian Hooke.

A-grade swimmers Josh Long, Ben Peper, Sarah Reeves, Daniel Rumbel, Jordan Long and Jai Darr all knocked seconds from their times while swimming 100m backstroke.

Brace relay result winners: heat 1 Toot Sweeties (Tamer and Clair Ward), heat 2 Pirates (James Overton and Oliver Pritchard), heat 3 Candies (Kaitlin and Hayley Forbes) and heat 4 Pretty Pony (Aimee Robinson and Monique Kerr).

This Friday night we will be hold our annual swim-a-thon to raise funds for the club.

At the conclusion there will be a barbecue and free swimming.

Monthly point winners will also be announced on Friday night.
