Ausgrid venue for young Warriors

27 Jul, 2011 04:00 AM
The under 9 Warriors played two teams at Ausgrid Stadium recently, once during the halftime break in the Toyota Cup game and then again at the half time break during the main game which was Manly and Newcastle.

The two teams the boys played on the day were Mallabula and Muswellbrook.

The boys were full of nerves at the start of the first game, but when running out for their second game in front of a crowd of 27,000 people their faces just lit up.

The team made all their supporters proud as they played strongly hitting the ball up well and defending strongly, all of them putting in a big team effort.

This team is just a pleasure to watch, they work together as one and are showing better skills as they get the experience during playing the game.

A lot of the boys’ skills can be accredited to the patience and dedication of their coach Forrest Saunders.

The team members are Thomas Dew, Jacob Isaac, Jaxson Stericker, Jarod Hunt, Josh Osmond, Adam Blakemore, Dane Laman, Hunta Saunders, Reece Braham, Jack Kershaw, Oliver Pritchard, Broc Hunt, Robert Davies and Jono Davies.
