Dungog riders on the podium

11 Nov, 2009 04:00 AM
The final rounds of the 2009 NSW Junior and Senior Sprint Championship held at Salisbury recently resulted in Ben Grabham (seniors) and Tom McCormack (juniors) coming out on top in the outright results.

Local riders, and Dungog Motorcycle Club members, that stood out throughout the series held October 31 and November 1 were Brad Redman, Glen Charlton and the father and son duo of Trent and Nick Lean.

Redman finished with a third place and a win over the weekend in the junior 14 to under 16 years 85cc class, while Charlton dominated the masters class in the seniors after winning both days.

The Lean family finished on the podium for the weekend.

Trent placed second and third in the expert veterans class and Nick finished in second in both rounds for the 13 years 85cc class.

Grabham, who rode in Pro E3 class, finished the weekend with a win and a second outright behind Josh Green (Pro E2) in the senior rounds, while youngster Tom McCormack (13 to under 16 years 250cc) enjoyed a perfect weekend by winning both rounds outright in the juniors.
