Since our last article members of Dungog Pony Club have been busy attending interclubs, jumping days, dressage days, show riding days, campdrafts and the list goes on.
We have had some terrific individual results right across the board, which to go into would obviously take some time, so here is some highlights of the year so far.
Firstly we have had some of our new members bite the bullet and commence travelling right from the start.
It is great to see, and they are making a great contribution to our club and zone, and not to mention taking home some beautiful ribbons for their collection. Riley, Jasmine, Grace, Tilly and Bridie have had a great year to date and we look forward to their continued success.
Also welcome to Tim Caslick who is trotting everywhere. Tim also attended his very first interclub day at Dungog, and it was great to see him having so much fun.
I must make special mention to Grace Maher, who is now riding Tully every where, she is show jumping, and getting more confident each and every day. It is especially great to see after Grace’s accident late last year.
Our more seasoned riders have again been going from strength to strength, and we have had some fantastic results.
Our newest members, Taneeka Woodberry, Melissa Hardes and Sarah Hardes have added extra strength to our club, especially in the flat work phase where they all excel.
Another rider who has made 2009 her own year, is Jessica Allen. Jess has a new horse, and together they are making a wonderful combination.
Our more advanced campdrafting members, Hannah Olsen, Aleah Sullings, Skye Maytom, Alexis and Lucy Neilson, Sarah Caslick, Cody and Kim Farley, continue their success, and our newest campdrafting enthusiasts, Victoria Allen, Jazmin Neilson and Chloe Farley are coming along in leaps and bounds.
Congratulations to Madison Hammonds who recently had her very first draft, and now I’m sure there will be no stopping her.
Our show jumping and show riding results have been outstanding.
Jessica Neave has had an enormous year all round in every phase, and Jessica Maher and Mandy Clarke have a great tassel going on, with results being very close between the two, and finally Samantha King is proving that dressage is her thing, and what a job she has been doing.
2009 is fast coming to an end, but there will be plenty more news to report for the year, with an extremely hectic month ahead of us all.
Next edition will be highlights of our mini camp success, and results from the state dressage with Samantha King.
