Last week at Dungog Bowling Club’s Tuesday Clique there were 36 bowlers.
Winners were Dennis Wilkinson, John Copus and Kevin Maley.
Runners-up were Col Jones, George Vielhauer and Ian Greig.
Loser draw winner were John Kennedy, Bill Walker and Neville Trappel.
Dill of the week was John Kennedy and the treasure chest went to Graham Scarlett.
On Friday afternoon the final of the consistency singles was played with Sheldon Hicks defeating Ian Watson.
On Friday evening the ham winners were Ron Moseley and Ken Russell.
On Saturday the patrons and presentation day and grade 6 district pennant unfurling was held.
Official guests were Mr and Mrs Ken Guy, Mr and Mrs Terry Wilson, Patrick Healey, Loy Clarke and Mayor Harold Johnston.
Forty members attended along with three visitors from the Denman club.
Winners of the major awards were:
Bowler of the year Ken Russell, most improved bowler Jon Martin, social bowler of the year Dennis Wilkinson and clubman of the year Michael O’Neill.
Winner of the draw from the hat following the bowls was Ken Guy, Phil Haigh, Craig Pond (Denman) and Kevin Maley.
On Saturday evening the winners of the hams were Pat Neilson and Tony Higgins.
Other prizes went to Phil Harvey, Gaye Shield, Ken Russell, Jim Turner and Riley Young.
Lucky draw winners were Malcolm McDonald, Phil Reeves, Wayne Perrin and Trevor Reeves.
This Friday evening there will be open pairs with Christmas prizes to be won. Names in by 5.15pm for a 5.30pm start.
On Sunday afternoon there will be open casual draw for partner bowls with hams and pork to be won.
Names in by 12.30pm for a 1pm start.
