This year, three lady bowlers from Morpeth Womens Bowling Club joined us to make our teams.

Thank you Fay Sullivan, Julie Arkell and Leslie Balcomb for your friendship and committed bowling.

Cessnock Country Club Womens Bowling Club No 2 team won our Grade 4 division and we wish them well in the zone playoff at Nelson Bay Bowling Club.

Congratulations to Denise Graham for winning our major singles for this year. Runner-up was Anne Boyton.

A great game was played with good spirits. Thank you to the girls who participated in this event.

Beryl Ford and Anne Boyton attended Gresford Womens Bowling Club gala on May 3.

Judy Hughes, Dianne Ellis and Anne Boyton also attended Paxton gala on May 18.

Both these days were most enjoyable, meeting new bowlers and old friends.

Judy was drawn out as a bowls winner on the day and also won third prize in the raffle, a lovely crocheted rug. Anne was a lucky tombola winner.

Our monthly meeting for June only, has been put back a week and is to be held at 9.30am prior to our annual general meeting which is to start at 10am on Wednesday, June 16.

Our bowls during the winter months are every Wednesday morning at 10am.
