Dungog club pairs continue

14 Sep, 2011 04:00 AM
Last Saturday at Dungog Bowling Club the second semi-final of the club pairs was played.

Andrew Deasey, Jeff Beard and John Bliss defeated Don Middlebrook, Bob Berry and Craig Deasey so they will meet Dave Turner, Jon Martin and Allan Golledge in the final.

This is to be played on September 24.

On Sunday 16 bowlers travelled to Clarence Town for the first round of the McDonald Shield.

Dungog were the winners on the day so have the lead going into the return match which will be played at Dungog on November 13.

This weekend the Williams Valley Tournament will be contested by 28 triples teams from many different clubs. Good luck to all bowlers.

At last week’s Tuesday Clique there were 38 bowlers.

Winners were Joe Koch, Gary Picton and Keith Edwards. Runners-up were Graham Scarlett, Paul Rizutto and Karl Gohmann.

Loser’s draw went to Doug Boorer, Allan Fisher and Malcolm McDonald.

Dill of the week was Kevin Maley and treasure chest went to Paul Rizutto.

Last week at Thursday Thirsties singles were played and the winner on the day was Peter Osborne.

Don’t forget on September 22 there will be bowls followed by a Chinese lunch.

All welcome. Names by 9.30am for a 10am start.
