Tamworth will be home to nearly 20 local competitors for a week when they compete in the ABCRA National Finals Campdraft and Rodeo.
There will be four nights of senior finals rodeo action and three rounds of campdraft from this Sunday.
Lorrayne Riggs from the ABCRA said this is an increase of an extra round for each of these finals.
“This is in part due to sell out crowds at last year’s event and also the growth of our sport and association in recent years,” Ms Riggs said.
Competing in campdraft finals are Dungog riders Stephanie Brewer, Charlotte Lyon, Georgia Owers and the Neilson family – father Kendall and daughters Lucy and Alexis.
Stroud will be represented by Chloe, Cody and Kimberley Farley as well as the Maytom family – mother Sharon, son Ben and daughter Jodi.
Twins Toby and Oscar Leake and friends Thomas Hudson, Harry Boorer and Eric Richardson will compete in the 8-11 years poddy ride while Gresford’s Todd Litchfield and Lachlan Richardson will compete in the 14-18 years juvenile steer ride.
