Cricketing fun for youngsters

23 Nov, 2011 03:00 AM
Youngsters of Dungog are getting a taste of cricket with the MILO in2CRICKET program run on Friday afternoons.

The program offers children 5 to 8 years the opportunity to kick start their cricket career, learn lots of new cricket skills like batting, bowling, catching and throwing, as well as social skills allowing them to make new friends and most importantly – have fun.

Organiser James Lovegrove said 18 young boys and girls are enjoying cricket on Friday afternoons.

“The program runs for 15 weeks and they learn the basic skills of cricket while having fun,” he said.
