Year 12 advisor Peter Rees said the year 12 of 2011 was an interesting group of people, made up of a number of smaller diverse groups.
In these groups they are loyal to their friends.
Many I am sure will stay in contact with each other and remain life long friends.
These friendships are special. In the times ahead out in the world there are also other friends waiting to be met, and also life partners.
It is an exciting time ahead.
I describe this year group as diverse because there are so many different talents and qualities among them.’
Reading their reports over the years I remember being struck by the high number of boys who were given glowing recommendations for Industrial Technology.
The high number of musically and artistically talented boys and girls never ceases to amaze.
There are keen sportsmen and high achieving sportswomen.
Academically, there are a large number of students who have worked hard throughout their school career.
From their first appearance in Year 7, these types of students were noticeable even at the beginning of each day when they could be seen deeply engrossed in their own choice of reading during roll call.
They are curious, they are serious about learning, and they enjoy learning for its own sake as well as for the achievement of goals.
Whatever plans our students have, we wish them well for the future.
