Schools celebrate Education Week

10 Aug, 2011 04:00 AM
Martins Creek Public School held their Education Week celebrations last Wednesday.

Students and family members attended a church service at St James Anglican Church which was followed by a family lunch with parents bringing a packed lunch to join their children.

After lunch there was a short display of country dances, a few songs and open classrooms.

Mayor of Dungog Shire Harold Johnston and community project officer with Dungog Shire Council Tracey Lowrey also held an Australian reaffirmation service with the children.
