Carl Gorton has taken over the presidency of the Rotary Club of Dungog.
The presidential change-over was held on Friday night, with Lloyd Grant retiring as the current president.
In giving his president’s report, Mr Grant thanked the board and members for their ongoing support.
During the past 12 months the club has contributed $8784 to the community and its varied projects.
”We have, through harmony, worked to accomplish a number of very fine achievements,” he said.
“Together with the combined efforts of Dungog Lions and Apex clubs we contributed towards the i-stat blood gases machine for Dungog Hospital.
“Our share of $3685 was achieved through fundraising nights and our annual donations to local schools will also be met.
Dungog Rotary consists of only 12 members but has excelled in its effort of fundraising to assist community projects in the past year.
“Our members have also given of their time to feed the many volunteers at the Dungog Film Festival and 110 man hours have been tallied towards manning the gates at both the Dungog Show and rodeo.
“Needless to say this could not have been achieved without the wonderful support we receive from past members and their associates.”
