Blessed school days

25 Jan, 2012 04:00 AM
Teachers and students are all invited to come to Christ Church, Dungog, on Sunday for a special blessing.

Blessing the backpacks is all about blessing students, their backpacks, the teachers and all involved in education.

Reverend Robin Lewis-Quinn said the special service celebrates and blesses the beginning of another school year.

“Students of any age, teachers, assistants – anyone who is going back to school – are invited to bring their backpacks, book bags, totes of any kind and laptop cases to the service.

“The blessing will lift up children, students and teachers of all ages as we begin a new school year.

“Each student will receive a special gift and memento.”

The service will begin at 9am and everyone is invited to a special brunch after the service.

For more information phone Rev Lewis-Quinn on 4992 1737.
